We are so pleased about the arrival of intermedia Artist Jane Gilmor !

Jane is a Professor of Art at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has a BS from Iowa State University, a MAT and MFA from the University of Iowa and additional graduate work at The Art Institute of Chicago.

During her residency Jane will be working with local artists from Becoming Independent and Alchemia, in a collaborative project to create containers for the self, using found materials and writings, and drawings on metal foil. These containers would serve as “architectures of identity” and each individual would work imaginatively with materials to create a wearable structure.
