"This group show of eight San Francisco Art Institute Alumni began with thoughts and memories of a vibrant, wild, and very creative time during the 80's and 90's at the Art Institute. All of us knew, worked with, and/or partied with each other through these years when, literally we were taunted by professors and mentors to be as out of the box as possible, creating some very interesting and profound work. The San Francisco Art Institute has deep roots for me as an artist, igniting my passion for painting at an early age. It is a place of creative refuge still, a place where freedom of expression is paramount. This group of artists are all still living in the Bay Area, and are still making wonderful and provocative art. I hope you enjoy this group show, as much as I have enjoyed gathering us all back together!"
