Stay up to date with the latest information about Chalk Hill Artist Residency, our partnerships, current artists and alumni.

On August 29, 2017 we had an amazing studio visit in our new gallery space with our friends from Becoming Independent, Alchemia, and Sonoma County Behavioral Health Art group. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful artwork of Rodger Warnecke (our founder Margo’s late brother) who was mentally disabled.

The exhibit has more than 30 paintings and hundreds of drawings that Rodger made during his artistic career, and will be open until the end of September, in celebration of Rodger’s life work.

This day was such a motivational journey for our friends, who daily find art as a channel to redirect their energies and talent.

Thank you to all the attendees. It was a peaceful, beautiful experience!

Hope to see everyone soon!

"Being an artist isn't easy. Emerging talents and established creatives are tasked with interpreting the world, drawing on personal experiences with hopes of making a lasting public impression. Sometimes that requires a change of scenery, a different perspective, or a moment alone. To that end, we looked through many exceptional artist-in-residency programs — think of them as vacations with benefits for envelope-pushing artists — and were drawn to these fifteen inspirational residencies from around the world."
