“This is what I love about cities, the way that even the most distinct of them resemble one another when you least expect it, the way the lines between memory and imagination blur. ”

"I am happy to announce I Can Taste the Sun, my second solo exhibition with Hashimoto Contemporary, the first being Double Knotted back in April of 2017.  I Can Taste the Sun is not so much about food, but has to do with the power of nature and the outdoors to nourish and heal. The title is derived from a quote by one of my favorite chefs and philosophical influences, David Kinch, of the three Michelin star restaurant Manresa in Los Gatos, CA. The show will feature six new paintings on panel and nine works on paper, and will also include three new hand carved wood sculptures, a continuation of my Wave Pool series, shown in San Francisco for the very first time."

- Casey Gray

Opening Reception this Saturday, February 8th, 2020 from 6pm - 9pm.

The show will be on view through February 29th.

The gallery is located at 804 Sutter Street in San Francisco.
