Chalk Hill Artist Residency is happy to welcome artist, Antoninette Wysocki. During her stay at Chalk Hill, Wysocki will be working on abstract paintings. She explains that she intends to "indulge in materials and focus on the expressive process itself." The New York resident finds the landscapes of Warnecke Ranch inspring as they remind her of her time studying at San Francisco Art Institute twenty years ago. In between classes, Wysocki would escpae the big city and adventure to the vinyards where she was struck by the way the light hit the beauty of Sonoma County. It is during her stay here at CHAR that she plans to make pieces that are "balanced with details of organic imagery, evocative symbols and text, to address overall subjective translation and perception while addressing impediments of memory association." We can't wait to see the beauty of Warnecke Ranch come together with the style of Wysocki during her two week residency.
