Lea is a multifaceted artist living in Berlin. She has worked as a fine artist, sculpturer, performer, director, author, graphic novelist, composer and singer songwriter . "It is my passion to create worlds and to tell stories with them. Working in different artistic fields, this always stays my focus." Lea will be performing songs she composed and recorded while in residence last fall.
Julianne Jones AKA Jules work delves into themes of female body image as well as racial inequality and social justice. A hallmark of Jules visionary work is the complexity she achieves through layering line, color, and shape. The dynamic intensity of her mosaic- like pieces challenge the notion that painting and printmaking are separate artistic actions.
