We are happy to welcome Artists Genevieve Quick & Luba Zygarewicz! Their residence is part of our new partnership with SFAI
Luba a Chilean-Ukranian Artist, currently living in Louisiana, works with tea, hair, lint, and fibers. She documents time through sculpture, site specific installations, and mixed media. During her residency she would like to spend her time on two projects: creating an installation in the studio and organizing a community project.
Zygarewicz has exhibited across the US and has received numerous awards and critical recognition for both her sculptures and installations.
Genevieve is a San Francisco based artist and arts writer. She is been working in video, sculpture, photography, and now performance. Her work explores science, science fiction, and visual technologies.
During her stay she will be working on a video and performance that continues the themes and characters introduced in her project called Narcorn. Genevieve will dedicate her time to editing video and developing the choreography for a performance piece.
